Live-A-Music (Community) is a not-for-profit group of full-time professional classically-trained musicians in Liverpool who give lively and informal chamber concerts and children's / family workshops in the community. Tickets for the concerts are inexpensive and the children's workshops are free, or very low cost, so that everyone can enjoy music in their chosen way.

The musicians of Live-A-Music (Community) believe that good chamber music and children's workshops should be available for everyone. The free children's workshops often run alongside (at the same time as) the concerts, so adults can enjoy the concert performance whilst younger members of the family are learning in a very active way how music is made.
Members of the audience and workshop participants alike do not need any prior experience of 'classical' music. (We ask only that for safety reasons children under five should not attend workshops unless accompanied by a parent / guardian.)
Arrangements for 2003 are that early afternoon (2 pm) concerts will run for just over an hour in total (usually with no interval), and evening concerts, with an interval, are provisionally scheduled to start at 7 pm - but please check for individual concerts; and we aim to finish by 9 pm so that audience members can go for a meal or easily get public transport home afterwards.
