Welcome to YAOS - live musical entertainment at its best
Yeovil Amateur Operatic Society is one of the region's most successful musical production companies and has won over 20 national awards in the last 25 years - more than any other in the West Country.
YAOS produces two shows a year - March and October - at the Octagon Theatre, situated in the centre of Yeovil with excellent parking facilities. The theatre seats 620 and has one of the largest stages in the South West.
A flow of enthusiastic performers and supporting members, willing to devote huge amounts of their free time, put on an array of dazzling shows. We generally employ professional directors and this is reflected in the high standards achieved. We also benefit from the services of a professional orchestra, aided by an experienced sound and lighting crew.

Jeremy TustinJeremy Tustin is the director of our next production, High Society. Rehearsals are now in full swing and on schedule for the opening night on 3rd March 2009.
Jeremy is a professional director and choreographer, who trained at the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London. Since then he has developed his own unique style and has achieved notable successes with the many societies he has worked with.
Our charitable fundraising continues, with many thousands of pounds donated to local worthy causes over the years. Charity Registration No. 272621.
