The first team had a wonderful season and finished second to Milford Hall. Those of us who remember the last-day relegation-saving heroics of a couple of years ago will be very satisfied with that.
The Seconds made a great start to the season, led all the way, and finished as league winners. Well done to them. It is a while since we had any silverware in the trophy cabinet, so let us salute Phil and his men.
The Thirds had their last games hit by rain, but finished well up their league. Experienced players are willing to turn out for the Thirds these days, and the standard is good.
For the first time, we had a fourth team, which gave the youngest players, and even some who found it hard to get a game last year, some competitive cricket. The team is in its infancy, but has plenty to be proud of in their first season. They won as often as not and finished in the right half of the table fifth out of twelve. 24 juniors played in this side as well as a few old men!
On Sundays the youngsters have given an excellent account of themselves and the crop of new players coming through promises well for next year.

This summer, yet again, will not be remembered as a great one as far as the weather is concerned, but the cricket is always entertaining. Visitors are always welcome on a Saturday or a Sunday afternoon, so come on down to the club for some cricket in the sun and maybe a beer.
Brewood is a club that is always looking to progress in everything we do. That is why we are proud to have been awarded Clubmark.
