Whether you want to start fly fishing, are looking to improve existing skills or need a new challenge, professional fly fishing tuition with qualified instructor Steve Yeomans is a great investment which will take your fishing to another level. Tuition is available for hourly lessons, half days, full days and 2-3 day short breaks, meeting the needs of beginners and more experienced anglers no matter how tight your schedule.

Unlike many UK instructors, Steve is a full time professional, so you can be sure of a quality service, up to date advice and value for money. We operate 12 months of the year, 7 days per week, with tuition packages geared to both stillwater and river fly fishing.

Venues are set in picturesque countryside, providing a relaxing, enjoyable environment in which to learn new skills and unwind. Our locations in Staffordshire, Shropshire, Derbyshire and the Cotswolds Water Park in Glouestershire, mean you have a lake or river within 1 hour's travel of most Midlands counties and the cities of Manchester, Birmingham, London & Oxford to name a few.

Beginners Cast & Catch Day

Designed for beginners, the aim of this course is simple, enable you to go fly fishing! Personal tuition in an ideal environment means you actively learn new skills on the water, which you can then practice and develop, fishing confidently and catching trout. Your itinterary includes: -

  • Equipment, setting up & fly selection
  • Basic cast & roll cast techniques
  • Watercraft & safety
  • Effective fishing techniques to get you started.

Price is £ 150 per day for 1 with additional fees of £ 50 per extra person.

Casting Lessons

Learning to fly cast

Good fly casting skills are one of the key aspects in presenting a fly well, helping you fish efficiently, effectively and enjoyably. Tuition optons cover techniques for trout, pike & saltwater including: -

  • Basic fly casting
  • Handling strong winds & big flies
  • Single and double haul techniques
  • Roll cast
  • Advanced river casts

Price per hour £ 25 for 1 person, an additional £ 10 per hour is payable per extra person.

Fly Fishing Lessons

Stillwaters

Skills for small and large waters from boat and bank. Covers casting, watercraft, entomology, dry fly, nymph and lure techniques as required, building on your existing knowledge.

Rivers

Often thought more demanding of an angler, rivers require a different skill set to stillwaters. We cover key areas of setup, casting, presentation, watercraft, entomology, dry/wet fly and nymphing.

Prices are £ 100 half day, £ 150 full day, with additional fees of £ 50 per extra person.
