Countdown council says: 'We've nothing to discuss'

CHRISTMAS recession, parking crisis, bin rage, rats, pot holes in the roads and council reorganisation.....but for the council it seems, there is nothing to discuss.

Macclesfield Borough Council cancelled one of just six meetings a year where all 60 councillors gather to discuss borough business.

The reason given was that there was "insufficient business" – and only one agenda item.
