Yorkshire Dales
The Yorkshire Dales is one of England's National Parks. While most if it is in the county of North Yorkshire, under recent boundary changes, the western corner, containing the town Sedbergh, and the villages Dent and Garsdale, are now in Cumbria.
The most scenic part of the Settle to Carlisle Railway, with its huge viaducts and long tunnels, continues from the Cumbrian corner of the Yorkshire Dales through to Settle.
