The 1st team have had some good performances recently which having recorded 4 wins out of the 10 games played with 3 games abandoned. The last 2 victories being achieved with last gasp results against Springhead CC and Ashton Ladysmith CC. The 2nd team also recently recorded a fine victory away at Roytonians meaning they have now 4 wins out of the 10 games played with 2 games abandoned. There has also been some good recent personal performances especially from younger players like Chris Akin and Dave Rigney.
Club tour:
Thanks to all players who went on the recent club tour to Weston Super Mare, I think all would agree a good time was had by all. It is hoped the next tour in 2010 on similar format will be to Whitby. Next years event will be a race trip, hopefully to Ripon or Thirsk, details of the trip will be formalised early next year.

Nets are at present on the ground every Thursday with a 6.30pm start. All players are reminded any damage caused to local properties will be paid for by the person who caused the damage. The club is not insured for damage on practice nights.

Annual BBQ
The date of the annual cricket barbecue on the ground is Saturday 23 August 2008 with an 8.00pm start. Tickets are priced £5.00 for adults and £2.50 for juniors under 14s. To book and pay for your tickets contact Mike Wallace on 07788 851432, please make Scuds job easier by not leaving bookings until the last minute. We are also after volunteers to work on the night such as chefs, cleaners, people to run the raffle etc etc, please see a committee member if you want to offer your services. Also donations to the raffle are required such as bottles, dvds etc.
