Algeos launches in Australia

Algeos has officially launched its first Australian operation (A. Algeo PTY) as it’s the regional headquarters serving customers in Australia and New Zealand. The company has partnered with Australian entrepreneur and managing director of Access Health, Peter Wilson. Peter will manage the new operation from its Melbourne headquarters.

The venture is part of Algeos’ global expansion initiative. An initiative that will we see the company increase its international coverage through partnerships, acquisitions and brand based agency agreements.

Algeos becomes a member of SATRA

Algeos are pleased to announce that the company is now a member of SATRA.

SATRA is the world’s leading research and technology centre. The centre employs more than 180 scientific, technical and support staff across two sites in the UK and China.

SATRA was formed in 1919 to serve the footwear industry but has since expanded to serve other consumer industry sectors including furniture, safety products, clothing, floorcoverings, leathergoods and fabric care

Algeos 'Summer Training Day' well received

Algeos recent training day on orthotic manufacture was received with success by those who attended, facilitating the continuation of future product training and demonstrations.

The training event was held over two days – Monday the 9th and Tuesday the 10th of June and featured demonstrations of two of our new orthotic products: TFC (Thermo Formable Composite) and Therrox Comfort Felt. Over 60 guests were in attendance including technicians, orthotists and podiatrists both from the NHS and private sector

A. Algeo Ltd has purchased the insoles (socks) division of Phipps & Co of Northampton in a move by Algeos to expand on the company’s footwear capabilities.

Phipps & Co has been a recognised supplier of footwear components and findings to the UK shoe industry. The business has handed over this section of their company to A. Algeo Ltd who are confident they can improve and grow existing footwear capabilities.
